Pasco School Bus Driver Dead After Being Stabbed on Bus

PASCO, Wash.–A Pasco School District bus driver is dead after being stabbed while transporting children near Longfellow Elementary Friday afternoon. Police say a man boarded the bus with students shortly after 3pm, and attacked the driver. During the incident, the school bus jumped a curb and crashed into nearby hedges.

“No students were physically injured. Students on the bus were brought back to the school, along with students who were outside the school when the incident happened” said Pasco Police Captain Bill Parramore.

The unidentified driver was rushed to a regional hospital, but later died from his injuries. Authorities have the adult male suspect in custody, and the school district is making counselors available for students and staff.
